Youth Services

Wesley Youth Services provides accommodation and support programs for young people from 12 and 18 years of age who are in crisis, homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Youth Services seek to assist young people to re-establish family relationships, connect with support services, and learn to value themselves and maximise their capabilities. Service strategies recognise the need to meet young people on their own ground in surroundings that they choose, like cafes, shopping malls, at home or at school.

They visit three high schools weekly in the local area. Youth Outreach also runs 8 weeks of school holiday program for Ashfield Council each year. Youth Outreach can assist with issues such as domestic violence, unstable accommodation, homelessness, pregnancy, Juvenile Justice, unemployment, depression, addictions, mental health, educational problems, social isolation and much more.

EQUIP Youth Mentoring Program
Equipping young people for change
EQUIP is a volunteer based program which connects young people with a positive role model who can offer them guidance and support. Mentors have the opportunity to invest in the life of someone else, while the young person is given support to deal with the changes and developments in their life.
The EQUIP program is run from Wesley Mission’s Mt Druitt Integrated Youth Service in Emerton, but we work with young people across Western Sydney. Mentors are given extensive training before commencing in the program and are not required to live in the area, just be willing to travel.
